Free Formica Axiom Worktop Samples

Below are some of the different laminate worktops available at Roots. Before ordering, we recommend you request an actual sample of the laminate you like.

Gloss finish worktops (AB61 Codes)
A smooth reflective surface finish. Formica Axiom Gloss worktops use AR Plus laminates. This helps them to be more resistant to surface scratches. However, they are still not as resistant as other types of laminate worktop and therefore do not carry the lifetime guarantee.

Etching finish worktops (AET Codes)
From a distance, natural granite appears to be a smooth, glossy surface. However, if you look closely you will see lots of small pits in the surface. These pits are the natural gaps in the stone. The Etching range of worktops mimics these pits giving a more natural appearance to the worktop.

Honed finish worktops (AHD Codes)
Most people are familiar with highly polished granite worktops. A less common finish is 'honed' granite. Instead of a bright glossy surface, the granite is polished to a smooth matt finish. The Axiom honed worktops mimic this finish, including the surface texture. It's hard to show surface texture in a picture, so if you like the colours it's worth ordering a sample.

Crystal finish worktops (CR codes)
By far the most popular worktop finish is "Crystal". This is sometimes referred to as 'like an orange peel' although the surface texture is a great deal finer.
